Calling all artists and performers

Submit your portfolio or schedule an audition to follow your calling at UC Irvine

Your creative journey starts at UCI Arts

The undergraduate programs in art, dance, drama, and music at UC Irvine require an application process that's a bit different from other majors, so be sure to review all important information, audition requirements, and dates and deadlines.

In addition to submitting your UC Application during submission period, majors within UCI Arts may require additional steps to be considered for admission.

Applying to Music

Auditions are required only for applicants to those choosing the Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.) as a primary OR alternate major, which offers performance degree specializations in classical piano, classical voice, and classical strings. Auditions are held in late January each year, and all (new and continuing) students must audition at that time, for entry into the B.Mus. degree in the following fall.
